Authoring in an agile world

W2U is proud to announce Ellis Pratt as a speaker at the W2U Conference 2017

Agile development has been growing rapidly in the software industry and other industries. The agile development model makes a lot of sense to me from a product development perspective. However, the methodology doesn’t explain the best way to create Help content for users. In this presentation, we’ll look at how authoring teams have responded to this challenge, and have developed agile approaches to technical writing.

Ellis PrattEllis Pratt

Ellis Pratt is a Director and Help Strategist at Cherryleaf, a technical writing services and training company based near London, in the United Kingdom. He has over 20 years of experience working in the field of documentation, has a BA in Business Studies, and is an Associate of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Ellis is also on the management council for the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators (ISTC).

In 2017, he was listed as one of the top 25 Content Experience influencers in the world.

He was a contributor to Current Practices and Trends in Technical Communication (2017. ISTC Books.) and The Language of Technical Communication (2016. XML Press.)
